What a great pizza! Just got into town for work and was hungry so I went to the closest pizza spot down the road. Wasn’t expecting much, but dang was I wrong. The Margherita pizza is worth your time.

First time trying Randy's Pizza while visiting the Raleigh-Durham area. I picked this place because the description mentioned it was a local chain serving NY style pizza. When I hear local chain, I think of a mom and pop business that was so successful they opened multiple places. Their website mentions they opened their first restaurant in 1995 and now have eight in the Raleigh-Durham area. My to go order was a large margherita pizza, a side of garlic knots and jalapeno poppers appetizer. I ordered in the store and waited 15-20 minutes (no complaints on the wait) and had a seven minute drive back to where I was staying. The pizza and jalapeno poppers were cold. I was surprised that after only a seven minute drive, they were cold. The crust was a little hard and tough to bite through. The jalapeno poppers tasted like the same kind you can buy at the wholesale clubs. I know there are a lot of positive reviews for this place, which was another factor in choosing it, but I've had far better pizza from the national chains. The employees were an absolute pleasure to interact with and patient with me while I ordered.

Randy’s is a favorite of mine. The food is always hot and fresh, full of flavor, and reasonably priced. The service is fast and the people are nice. The atmosphere is reasonable with noise levels, but can get busy and loud. When you have great food That can happen. Definitely give Randy’s a try, especially the one on Miami Boulevard.

Randy’s Pizza located at 5311 S Miami Blvd, Durham, NC 27703 is a large pizza chain in the Raleigh area. Many locations across the area. Their slices are quite large, huge actually, and cheaply priced. Crust is a soft bottom crust, and the cheese and toppings are generous. It was good, not great at all. I only got 2 slices, which is ate about half of and discarded them. My slice of mushroom, the toppings were added on after taking a slice of cheese and heating it up. That never melds the flavors!! Manager who was at the register was great and welcoming to everyone.

Generally good food (although my last sandwich wasn't up to their usual standards), and the service is good, WHEN you get to the front of the line. I really wish they had an area for people to pick up online orders so you don't have to wait behind a long line of people who have no idea what they want until 5 minutes after they reach the front of the line. We've already paid (and tipped!), it would be nice if we didn't have to wait in line to get our food. Update: Normally all the employees I've interacted with here have been WONDERFUL, but there's 1 in particular (young lady, glasses) who I've seen be rude to other customers, and today I had the misfortune of interacting with her. I won't lower my rating due to 1 bad interaction, but next time I might go to the randy's across the street from me, rather than driving all the way to this one.
